Laboratory Help,
When You Need It
AI-powered laboratory assistance for authorized users.
Ask about a protocol step, a reagent substitution, a control that drifted out of range, or an analyser flag — and get a grounded answer from your own documentation instead of a hunt through the binder.
How it works
-
01
Your documentation is indexed
SOPs, method sheets, QC limits, instrument manuals and internal memos are loaded into the assistant so answers reflect how your lab actually runs — not a generic textbook.
-
02
Authorized staff ask in plain language
No query syntax, no document numbers to memorise. Ask the way you would ask the senior scientist standing next to you, gloves on.
-
03
Answers arrive with their source
Every reply names the procedure and section it came from, so it can be verified before anything is acted on. Uncertain questions are escalated rather than guessed.
What it covers
Built for the questions that stall a run — the ones that are written down somewhere, but not where you are standing at 02:40 on a night shift.
-
Protocol & method steps
Incubation times, dilution factors, order of draw, acceptable substitutions.
-
Quality control
Westgard rule interpretation, out-of-range controls, when to repeat and when to hold.
-
Reagents & consumables
Storage conditions, reconstitution, open-vial stability, lot-change checks.
-
Instrument faults
Error codes, first-line troubleshooting, and the point at which to call service.
-
Sample handling
Rejection criteria, tube types, transport limits, haemolysis and clotting calls.
-
Safety & spills
Decontamination steps, PPE requirements, incident reporting routes.
Lab Helps supports qualified laboratory staff. It does not issue diagnoses, release results, or replace the judgement of the responsible scientist or pathologist.
Getting access
Lab Helps is not open to the public. Accounts are issued per laboratory, and enabled for named staff by the lab's own coordinator.
- 1 Your lab coordinator registers the department and uploads the current SOP set.
- 2 Staff are added individually and confirmed against the department roster.
- 3 Confirmed staff receive their access details and can start asking questions.
Messaging-app access, so the assistant can be reached from the bench without a workstation, is being prepared and will be enabled for registered labs.
